To discuss his book, Editing Humanity: The CRISPR Revolution and the New Era of Genome Editing, Faena Rose welcomes author Kevin Davies to discuss controversies surrounding tools which are often described as 'genetic scissors', how these innovations led to the the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, and the large-scale implications of CRISPR for the future of medicine, biology, agriculture, and human life. Davies is editor of The CRISPR Journal and a geneticist who holds a PhD in molecular genetics and post doctoral degrees from Harvard University and MIT.
